Fundraising has never been my strong suit, and frankly, asking for financial support is hardly one of “my favorite things”.
I also know you get many requests from worthwhile ministries and charities around this time of year, so when you just groaned, “Oh, not another fund raising appeal!” I sympathized. But I also know that many of you follow our work here at Genesis Biblical Solutions which this blog is an outreach of, and you consider yourselves to be partners with us. So let me clarify our ministry needs as we close out 2014.
As you know, we serve the Church through counseling, resources, and education. We work with believers who’ve gotten caught up in sexual behaviors they need to turn from, by offering them Biblically-based Pastoral counseling and resources. It’s been our honor for 27 years to walk with them as they, by God’s grace, renounce the wrong and rebuild their marriages, their patterns, their lives. We serve pastors by coming alongside them when they want to discuss the ministry challenges these issues raise. And we serve the Christian community through seminars and educational resources.
But more than ever, we need your help to continue doing this. In addition to our current work, we’re now producing on-line seminars for churches, pastors and individuals, covering subjects like When Homosexuality Hits Home, Restoring Marriages After the Fall, The Porn-Free Plan, Pastoral Care for the Sexually Broken, and many other topics. Since our passion is to help equip the Body of Christ to address these issues, we feel that now’s the time to make these seminars available online. And, of course, they cost money.
