St. Patrick and Purity

Shamrock

In Honor of St. Patrick’s Day

Some Limerick Thoughts on Keeping it Clean, Laddie

There once was a stud they called Sampson

Who was shocked when he turned all the lamps on

To discover the trim

His Delilah gave him

Made him wish he had just kept his pants on.

But his story’s just one of so many

Godly men can be subject to any

Kind of sin. We’re just dust.

And our penchant to lust

Costs us more than just one pretty penny!

Think of David alone in the palace

Hardly planning to act out with malice

Sees a lady who bathes

Then demands what he craves

And his heart becomes darkened and callous.

Then there’s Solomon, Abraham, Lot

Who all crossed moral lines they should not

Both the Testaments show it

When godly men blow it

They just seem to go nuts when they’re hot!

Loving God doesn’t make you exempt

From erotic enticements that tempt

Every carnal display

Is just one click away

Satan lures with such gall and contempt.

So today, Christian man, it’s not odd

If your laptop entices your bod

To watch dirt in your house

But just say “I’m no louse!

As for me and my mouse

We’ll serve God!”

Thanks Joe. you always seem to allow the Holy Spirit to work through you to cut right to the heart of the matter and keep it real and allow perspective to be regained. Big Blessings to you
